Freight that moves through the dock
Cross-docking moves freight from inbound to outbound with little or no storage in between. Shipments arrive, get sorted and consolidated, and leave on the next truck, which cuts handling, storage cost and transit time.
As an asset-based trucking and warehousing company with terminals in Vancouver and Calgary and 165+ trucks of our own, Rolls Right consolidates multiple inbound loads, reroutes them to their destinations and tracks everything with GPS and 24/7 dispatch.
Cross-dock floors in Vancouver and Calgary
The Vancouver cross-dock sits inside our East Broadway building. A container comes in one door, gets sorted by destination, and goes back out another, the same day and often within the hour. Nothing is racked and nothing waits unless you want it to.
Calgary runs its own cross-dock in the Foothills industrial corridor, and our own trucks join the two six days a week. Freight can land in Vancouver and be on an Alberta dock without changing carrier.
From Vancouver the sorted freight reaches the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley, the Okanagan through Kelowna, and Vancouver Island through Nanaimo and Victoria. From Calgary it reaches Alberta and the Prairie lanes.

Case study
From 2 containers to about 70: socks to every Costco depot in Canada
A customer needed about 70 containers of socks turned into loads Costco would accept, and the first wave was days away. We took it on, rebuilt every pallet and delivered to all four Canadian depots.
