Rolls Right Industries Ltd. (“Rolls Right”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through rollsright.ca, why we collect it and how we look after it. Our customer portal (customerportal.rollsright.ca) is a separate system with its own sign-in.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, contact us or send feedback: your name, company, email address and phone number, the details of what you want to ship or store (for example origins and destinations, freight descriptions, dimensions and dates), and anything you write in your message.
When you apply for credit or set up an account: your business details (legal name, addresses, contacts, and tax or exemption numbers), banking details or a bank reference letter, trade references, the name and signature of the person applying, and any documents you attach.
When you apply for a job: your name, contact details and where you live (city and province), the position, your résumé, anything you add in the message and, for driving positions, your driver’s abstract if you choose to send it.
How you found us: when you arrive from a search engine, an ad or another website, your browser keeps a note of where you came from (the referring site or campaign, and an ad click identifier if there is one) for up to 90 days. It is sent to us only if you submit a form, so we can tell which of our advertising works.
Technical information: like most websites, our servers record your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and when, to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages they visit and what kind of device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on; the site works without them.
When you submit a form, we set a cookie that lasts five minutes at most, so our analytics count the submission once; it is deleted as soon as the confirmation page has read it. Staff who sign in to manage the site also receive a sign-in cookie.
How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry, prepare quotes and provide the transportation and warehousing services you ask for.
- To assess credit applications and to open and manage customer accounts.
- To consider you for a job with us.
- To keep the website secure, and to understand and improve how the site and our advertising perform.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Rolls Right staff who need it for the purpose it was collected for.
- Service providers who run parts of our business for us, such as website hosting, email (Microsoft 365), website security and delivery (Cloudflare) and analytics (Google). They may use it only to provide their service to us. Some of them store or process information outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of those countries.
- Banks, credit reporting agencies and the trade references you list, when you apply for credit.
- Others, where the law requires or permits it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
The site is served over encrypted connections, and the forms and documents you send us are stored on systems that only authorized people can access. No system is completely secure, so please send only the information a form asks for.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service or consider an application.
