One truck and trailer for your freight

Full Truckload (FTL) shipping dedicates an entire truck and trailer to your shipment alone. Rolls Right is an asset-based trucking and warehousing company that runs 175+ trucks and 500+ trailers from Vancouver and Calgary, covering the Greater Vancouver and Calgary regions and the rest of Western Canada.

The fleet includes dry vans, temperature-controlled units and low-profile trailers. Every unit is GPS-tracked and dispatch answers 24/7, whether the load is a dedicated run, a port-to-DC move or an urgent spot load.

Where our truckload capacity runs

Truckload capacity sits at two hubs. Vancouver works out of our East Broadway terminal; Calgary works out of the Foothills industrial corridor. Our own trucks run the lane between them six days a week and the trip takes one to two days, so a load crossing between Alberta and the coast stays on our equipment instead of being handed to a second carrier halfway.

In British Columbia we also run terminals at Coquitlam, Kelowna, Nanaimo and Victoria, which covers the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley, the Okanagan and Vancouver Island without a change of carrier. Alberta adds Calgary and Edmonton. Long-haul loads run east and south from either hub.

If your lane is not on that list, ask anyway. Most of what we quote is already a regular run for somebody.

How a full truckload price is worked out

A full truckload price comes down to the lane, the trailer and the timing. The lane is where the load picks up and where it delivers. The trailer is what the freight needs: a 53-foot dry van, a reefer for product that has to stay cold, or a tri-axle 53-foot trailer for heavier loads. The timing is the pickup date and how soon the load has to arrive.

The fuel surcharge is added on top. It is set for the calendar month, and this month’s rate and every rate since January 2024 are on our fuel surcharge page.

Between Vancouver and Calgary the load stays on our own trucks, which run the lane six days a week. If your freight fills only part of a trailer, LTL may cost less, and dispatch will tell you which way prices better.

Full truckload questions

What is Full Truckload (FTL) shipping?

FTL shipping puts one shipment on its own truck and trailer. It suits freight that fills a trailer, loads that need fast transit with no extra stops, and goods that should not share space with other shipments.

What areas do you serve for FTL freight?

We run FTL from terminals in Vancouver and Calgary, on our own trucks through British Columbia and Alberta and on lanes across the rest of Canada.

What types of trailers are available?

Dry vans, temperature-controlled (reefer) trailers and low-profile units, so standard pallets, refrigerated loads and height-restricted shipments each have a fit.

How do I get an FTL freight quote?

Request a quote online or call 24/7 dispatch at (604) 298-0080 with your pickup and delivery points, freight details and timing. We will come back with price and availability.

How long does a truckload take from Vancouver to Calgary?

One to two days. Our own trucks run the lane between Vancouver and Calgary six days a week.

Does Rolls Right carry insurance?

Yes. Rolls Right carries liability and cargo insurance, and we can send certificates whenever you need them.

Ready to move your full truckload?
