Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods and overseeing trucking logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Location: Vancouver Warehouse 3200 E Broadway, Vancouver, V5M 1Z8
- Salary Range: $20 – $23 per hour.
- Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor all aspects of trucking operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Collaborate with carriers and drivers to arrange pick-up and delivery schedules while optimizing route efficiency.
- Communicate with customers to provide shipment status updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage and maintain transportation documentation, such as bills of lading, shipping manifests, and other relevant records.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and warehouse, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of logistics operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in transportation operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for drivers and carriers, addressing any operational concerns promptly and professionally.
- Proactively address potential delays or disruptions in delivery schedules and implement contingency plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and service quality.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the trucking or 3PL industry.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with carriers, drivers, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics, preferably in the trucking and warehousing industry.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, including transportation, warehousing and distribution.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems such as 3PL and Truck Right.
